Democracy's Crucible: The Subpoena, the Anthem, and the Hope for Renewal

The weight of our democracy should be heavy on us all right now. Donald J. Trump is being served a subpoena. And the walls come tumbling down.

This moment will stand among the top 10 or 20 turning points in our nation's history. Time to get out your guitar, harmonica, kazoo, fife, piano, or any other instrument and bang out a verse or two of This Land is Your Land by Woody Guthrie.

It appears that righteousness is having its day. We can only hope that is a sustainable day.
